Post-Election Musings by Sue

My wife sent the following email to her distribution list yesterday, 11/9, regarding the Election results:

“I felt impressed to share my musings about our election results today.

“As I stayed up watching the returns I felt anticipation about who would finally be our next President of the United States. I had very mixed feelings as I watched and honestly had prayed more about North Carolina than our Nation. I understood the spiritual implications and wanted our State to be on God’s side. However, the longer I watched the results, the more I began to know that our Nation was in fact, at a serious cross road!

“As I said several times to others that I would be crying whichever way the elections turned out, to my surprise I am encouraged! Let me explain.

“I believe that what happens in the natural also has a spiritual application. So today as I began to question what Father wanted to reveal about this election and how it all played out; I felt He said to me “to encourage the believer”.
“All odds were against Mr. Trump from the very beginning of his announcement to run for the Presidency. The media hated him and picked  every word and action apart. Granted he brought a lot of this on himself by being so crude, bullish, and by no means “Presidential” as we heard many times. However, he said a lot of things that no one else would say but were thinking, without hesitation or thought of what people thought. Even his own party/influential people turned on him not believing what he said could ever be or believing in him. He was a trailblazer speaking truth to some who never would hear! But in the end, he heard people’s hearts more than anyone else has up to this point.
“I see him as a “revolutionary”. I see this election as an encouragement to us as true believers and disciples of Jesus to begin our own “revolution” of sorts to overthrow the “world system” taking back what the enemy has stolen from us as believers. We have seen how boldness, standing strong regardless of what others believe or say exhibited by Mr. Trump. I believe that he was an example to us that if we will stand strong in the face of opposition, not backing down, being strong and courageous in our convictions, and speaking the Truth regardless of the cost—we too can be emboldened to “fight the good fight of faith”! We need to be convicted in our hearts that we CAN make a difference —we CAN change our world for the Glory of God!

“We as the church have backed down, shut-up, and allowed others to dictate how/what we will do and believe. Jesus wasn’t received by his own people, He walked to an entirely different “beat” and always spoke the Truth even to those in His own “political” system, for that He was persecuted, and ultimately suffered death!

“Our time is NOW! to rise up, stand strong, and begin a “revolution” of taking back our territory. Get ready because I believe the church is going to see this election as empowerment and encouragement to change the world for Jesus! THE GREATER WORKS ARE ON THE HORIZON!!  Jn. 14:12

“My prayer is that these thoughts will be used by Father to speak to YOUR hearts to no longer settle for “business as usual” as TRUE believers! Let’s take the world for JESUS!

“Thanks for reading😁

“Praying for revival,
Sue”

Until next time…May the LORD bless and protect you…” (Numbers 6:24-26)
