Donald Trump, President of the United States by the Sovereign Intervention of God | The Stream
If God has raised Trump up for certain divine purposes, it behooves us to ask what those purposes are — and to pray for divine restraint on his life.

Post-Election Musings by Sue
Post-Election Musings by Sue
“I felt impressed to share my musings about our election results today.
“As I stayed up watching the returns I felt anticipation about who would finally be our next President of the United States. I had very mixed feelings as I watched and honestly had prayed more about North Carolina than our Nation. I understood the spiritual implications and wanted our State to be on God’s side. However, the longer I watched the results, the more I began to know that our Nation was in fact, at a serious cross road!
“As I said several times to others that I would be crying whichever way the elections turned out, to my surprise I am encouraged! Let me explain.
“We as the church have backed down, shut-up, and allowed others to dictate how/what we will do and believe. Jesus wasn’t received by his own people, He walked to an entirely different “beat” and always spoke the Truth even to those in His own “political” system, for that He was persecuted, and ultimately suffered death!
“Our time is NOW! to rise up, stand strong, and begin a “revolution” of taking back our territory. Get ready because I believe the church is going to see this election as empowerment and encouragement to change the world for Jesus! THE GREATER WORKS ARE ON THE HORIZON!! Jn. 14:12
“My prayer is that these thoughts will be used by Father to speak to YOUR hearts to no longer settle for “business as usual” as TRUE believers! Let’s take the world for JESUS!
“Thanks for reading
Until next time…“May the LORD bless and protect you…” (Numbers 6:24-26)
Trump Won — What Now?
Trump won his bid for the Presidency and the Republicans will have a majority in both houses of Congress. So, what now? Do we go back to “business as usual” or do we get on our knees and pray?
Regardless of who you voted for, or even your feelings about President Elect Trump, the Republican Party, your Congressional representatives, etc., all believers have a responsibility to pray for our government.
One of the first things I think we need to be praying about is the remaining almost three months of the Obama Administration. The Obama administration is still in power until Jan. 20, 2017. Watch for Pres. Obama to start issuing Executive Orders in an attempt to put into place policies (law) that he has not been able to accomplish to date but wants as part of his legacy. Also, watch for his administration at all levels to try to pass legislation and implement rules and regulations “under-the-table” that further their personal agendas and the agendas of their supporters — many of which are not in the best interests of the USA as a nation or of we as citizens. The more they are able to accomplish, the more the new administration will have to struggle with to undo, slowing the implementation of many urgent policies, especially those related to national security and upholding the Constitution as it was written.
But, we must also start praying for our new administration as they get organized and prepare to take office. We must pray that they:
- Will take immediate steps to undo many of the Obama Administration’s bad policies.
- Start the process of implementing their goals that are good for the country as a whole.
- Will take firm and immediate steps to restore our great country to the principles upon which it was founded, regardless of whether it is PC in our current environment.
- That they will stand firm and truly and honestly represent their constituents regardless of the political cost or job security. There is too much at stake, caused in part by past maneuvering for political favors and to make the money people happy so that they get re-elected instead of doing their job!
Until next time…“May the LORD bless and protect you…” (Numbers 6:24-26)
