Faith in a prayer-hearing God will make a prayer-living believer!
(Andrew Murray)
Who or what do you have faith in?
Only one of the above is the correct answer. No matter how many options you add to the list, there is still only one answer. That answer is God! And, if your faith is in Him, through His Son, the Jewish Messiah, you will believe in prayer. In fact, you will actually pray! You will be a prayer-living believer! And we do not pray to get what we want; we pray to activate God’s will on earth!
Have you been praying that His will be done and His kingdom will come on earth?
Until next time…May He bless you and keep you. May He look upon you and give you His peace in Yeshua!

Prayer without a Biblical foundation can become wishful thinking. Michael Catt
Are you praying according to God’s Word or according to your own desires, thus treating Him as a servant there to do your bidding?
Until next time…May the Lord bless and keep you in His care.

Those who side with the majority voice and not with the Word of God are always wrong and courting disaster. (D.A. Carson)
Numbers 14 is a prime example from Scripture. The current condition of the USA is also an example. For too long, followers of Messiah, the Son of God, have taken the easy, non-confrontational path, going along with the majority rather than standing for truth. We must change and change now! This applies to many areas in our lives:
I agree that we must choose our battles carefully, but I, for one, have too often chosen the “safe” way. How about you? It is beyond time to “stand up for the truth!
Until next time…”May the LORD bless and protect you…May He give you Shalom.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it. George Orwell
“When something bad happens to you and you did not have the power to avoid it, do not aggravate the situation even more through wasted grief.” Chesbon HaNefesh, an 18th century Jewish ethical work.
Until the next time…“May the LORD bless you and watch, guard, and keep you; May the LORD make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you; May the LORD lift up His face toward you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).” (Numbers 6:24-26)
… or a worthy proverb to live by: Always seek to learn wisdom from every man, to recognize your failings and correct them. In doing so you will learn to stop thinking about your virtues and you will take your mind off your friend’s faults.
I read these words this morning and thought, “What good words to live by!” This old, but very wise and applicable saying from Rabbi Levin provides apt direction toward living in humility as taught in Colossians 3:12-13*; Ephesians 4:32**; and 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15***.
Until next time…“May the LORD bless and protect you…May He give you Shalom.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

*Col 3:12-13 (ESV): Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
**Eph 4:32 (ESV): Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
***1 Thes 5:14-15 (ESV): We urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.
With 2018 just around the corner, I am forwarding this post from the Call2Action Blog. It was originally written and published by Paul Nobel on Dec 27, 2017. It is a worthy challenge to all of us to include “In the name of the Lord Jesus” in all our statements and actions, either spoken or thought, during 2018 and, as Buzz Lightyear says, “to infinity and beyond”.

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus…”
Imagine what it would be like to go through the day announcing “In the name of the Lord Jesus” before you did anything or after you said anything! It would certainly be a little awkward, to say the least, but it wouldn’t take long to see just how many of your words and deeds made you feel uncomfortable when adding Jesus’ name to the mix.
“In the name of the Lord Jesus, I’m going to tease you now.”
“In the name of the Lord Jesus, I’m about to disobey you.”
“You’re a loser…in the name of the Lord Jesus!”
“Get your own glass…in the name of the Lord Jesus!”
“I’m not apologizing to you…in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
See what I mean? If we can’t do it or say it in the Lord’s name, then don’t!
APPLICATION: Think of some of the sinful things you say and do within your family and then try adding “in the name of the Lord Jesus” to the description. Next, try to think of some things to say and do within your family that will feel good when you add “in the name of the Lord Jesus.” Finally, pray and ask God for the strength to apply this simple principle in your life.
May you have a fantastic 2018 as you walk through it with Yeshua, your Savior, at your side.

When Your heavenly Father said that His name is “I am that I am” (Ex 3:14), He gave Moses and you a blank check. You can fill in the blank check with “I am guidance!”, “I am bread!”, “I am victory!”, “I am revelation!”, “I am your need!”
Whatever life may bring to you,
“God” will ring true to you:
Star in your sky–
Food in your store–
Staff in your hand–
Friend by your side–
Light on your path–
Joy in your heart–
In your ears music–
In your mouth songs.
Yes, rapid as your race may run,
And scorching as may shine your sun,
And bitter as may blow your blast,
And lonely as your lot be cast–
Whatever life may bring to you,
“God” will aye ring true to you.
(Charles Herbert)
“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence.” (2 Pet 1:3 ESV). “And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Phil 4:19 ESV). If we have not received something we desperately want, we can assume that God does not want us to have it for now. Trust Him with your entire being because “Father knows best!”
Until next time…“May the LORD bless and protect you…May He give you Shalom.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

This morning, Lord, I pray
Safeguard us through the day,
Especially at corners of the way.
For when the way is straight,
We fear no sudden fate,
But see ahead the evening’s open gate.
But few and far between
Are days when all is seen
Of what will come, or yet of what has been.
For unexpected things
Swoop down on sudden wings
And overthrow us with their buffetings.
And so, dear Lord, we pray,
Control and guard this day
Thy children at the corners of their way.
