Someone once said, “Love talked about is easily ignored, but love demonstrated is irresistible.”

We use the word “love” loosely in the English language.  We “love” everything from our new car, to our favorite TV show or movie, to a peanut butter sandwich.  We “love” our close friends, children, grandchildren, and, of course, our spouse, hopefully in ways different than we love a peanut butter sandwich.

Today, Valentine’s Day is considered a day about showing love to others— a favorite person, your child, your spouse.  We express love to each in different ways, from gifts to acts of kindness.  I encourage you to express your love to that special someone in your life in a way that is meaningful to them, not to you alone.
